Eeessshh, this post was supposed to be posted yesterday but I forgot and yeah, I have to make adjustments. So it was a tiring day yesterday because we had to do some sort of volunteer work and that is to paint people's house.

We are doing this for the less fortunate so that they will be able to have a newly painted house before Chinese New Year and so that they will be able to celebrate knowing that they have a vibrant and beautiful house now. So as usual before every volunteer work, we had to register at the location first before we can go to our respective groups. At first I thought that we (me and my classmates), were the only ones who are participating in this volunteer work but I was wrong. There was a whole bunch/group of people ranging from secondary/high school students and university students. So, we were assigned to our different groupings and yeah I was lucky that I have a classmate with me if not, everything will be so awkward.

But then, it still turned out awkward. When we reach the location, we greeted the elderly couple residing in the house and started shifting the furniture so that we will be able to paint the walls. I was doin the kitchen with the other students while my classmate was painting the door. For the whole period of the wall painting, I did not talk to anyone (I don't know why) and I kept wiping my snot onto my shirt since there was no tissue available! Hopefully no one noticed me do that.

During lunch time, before we went to eat outside of the house, the aunts who was the owner of the house offered us the tissue box and I'm like thank goodness.. There's TISSUE! I guess I roughly used around 7-12 tissue paper? Is that too much? And for the first time in history, I finished lunch faster than usual (I eat faster when I'm feeling awkward). Then after lunch, we decided to continue painting the wall but before we do that, we need to move the fridge and boy was it so dusty. I'm allergic to dust and my sneezing became worst! I was trying to hold of my nose for the whole session but nevertheless, it was a fun day and I really feel happy and satisfied that I was able to help in a small way.

Maybe for us it's a little thing but for some people, the things we do for them really means a lot and they appreciate every single thought.
